What information does the electron configuration give us about elements? Pick out an element from each row of the periodic table and provide the electron configuration model for them. From your electron configurations, how many valence electrons does each one of your chosen elements contain?

Valence Electrons

Valence electrons are the electons used for bonding. For four different elements (not the ones pictured), determine how many valence electrons that are available for bonding and what shell do they fall in?

Physical Properties

Elements can be defined by having unique physical properties that cannot be changed. On Dow/Popsci Periodic Table, list some physical properties for an element from each of the groups?

Briefly list what the major groups are of the periodic table and explain one thing about those elements in that group that makes it unique from the other groups?
